Boil Notice Rescinded

On June 23, 2017, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) required our public water system (City of Bells, PWS NO.:091000 I) to issue a Boil Water Notice (BWN) to inform our customers that due to the possible presence of contaminants or an interruption in service, water from our system must be boiled prior to consumption.

Our system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality and has provided TCEQ with testing results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling as of June 27, 2017.

The city would like to thank the customers for their patience and understanding as this issue was being taken care of. The city would also like to apologize once more for any inconvenience this may have caused.

If you have questions, contact City Hall at (903) 965-7744/7745 or the Public Works Dept. at (903) 357-3350. If a customer wishes to reach TCEQ, they may call 512-239-4691 .
